Geoff Krall created amazing problem based curriculum maps that are aligned to the common core for Grade 6 – Algebra II.  On his blog, he requested more resources for middle school math, particularly 6th and 7th grade.  This week, we are blogging about problem or project based lessons.  I added the CCSS to my blog title.

If you have a post for this week – please add it.  Right now, there is just the two of us.  🙂  Next week we are blogging about differentiation in math class.

  1. Hey Julie, First let me say I love your blog. You are so great at sharing ideas and tips. I am hoping to get my own math blog going this summer.

I was hoping I could tap in to your following. We have some extra grant money available to purchase some “math stuff” for our 8th grade math classes. I was wondering if you would be willing to reach out with a post for some suggestions on what other teachers would buy if they had the chance. I would love to hear what others ideas are.

Thanks for your thoughts. If this isn’t something you want to do I totally get it. I just thought you would be a good person to reach out to. You inspire me!

    Thanks, Nicole Kelley

    • I would also love to know what materials others use. It might be fun to share the contents of our math cabinets!

What do you think?
