We wanted you and your readers to know about HippoCampus.org – perhaps you would even like to blog about it.
About HippoCampus.org
Since 2004, we have been working to increase American students’ achievements and abilities in STEM subjects. Launched with support from a William and Flora Hewlett Foundation grant, HippoCampus.org offers outstanding and FREE multimedia content in subjects such as math and physics. Teachers use our online content in classrooms to supplement lectures, and students use our site for homework and exam prep.
Our STEM content includes Arithmetic, Algebra & Geometry, Calculus & Advanced Math, Statistics & Probability, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Earth Science. Our new, award-winning developmental math content was created with funding from The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. HippoCampus also includes collections from Khan Academy, NOAA, and the University of Colorado’s PhET science and math interactive simulations.
Students and teachers make more than 200,000 visits each month to HippoCampus. With your help spreading the word, more people can benefit from our free resource.
Each month, we send a newsletter with updates about HippoCampus – we would be pleased to add any of your readers to the distribution list.
